Prenatal Yoga

  • Light House Yoga 1060 Osgood Street North Andover, MA, 01845 United States (map)

Prenatal yoga is a wonderful way for expecting mothers to prepare for childbirth and to create an overall more enjoyable pregnancy. There are many benefits including facilitated relaxation, pelvic floor engagement, hip mobility, and relief from lower back pain.

Stretching and strengthening muscles through yoga, and empowering yourself with tools like breath work and pelvic floor education can promote greater comfort in pregnancy, smoother delivery, and faster recovery.

This class is designed to provide pregnant people with a safe space to connect with your changing bodies and to create a level of empowerment and trust that comes from within. You will meet people who are going through a similar experience and be able to share your stories, your fears, and your joys.

Please note: Always check with your OBGYN/midwife before starting an exercise program when you’re pregnant.

Prenatal Yoga is offered as a limited series.

Our current offering runs from August 15th to November 14th.

Sessions will be held on Tuesday’s for 1 hour starting at 6:00pm

Meet your Teacher: Eden Sweeney

Eden believes yoga brings us back to the present. It reminds us of the mind, body and soul connection that we can sometimes lose in our day to day. She is reminded every time she steps on her mat that it is only in the present in which we are truly living.

Yoga has been an avenue to alignment, mental clarity, and overall well-being in which she hopes to bring to her students. She values the balance between physical and mental strength within her classes and hopes to allow her students to find harmony on and off the mat.

Eden is currently pregnant with her first child and is excited to be offering a supportive class for expecting mothers to come together and grow as a community.
